Lasik Surgery

Would you ever consider having Lasik Surgery? I've worn glasses since I was twelve years old. I got contacts when I was 17 and have worn them ever since. I've really never had any trouble with my contacts, but in the last year, I've started considering Lasik for a couple of different reasons. First, I notice when I'm outside in the winter (usually when we're skiing), by the end of the day, my contacts get dried out and I can barely see out of them. It's almost like they're fogging up when I got into a building (like glasses do) and when I go back outside, they clear up. Pretty strange. It's highly irritating though!

Second, I'm finding that I will probably need reading glasses soon. I'm 44 now and even though I've always been able to see just fine at close distances, things seem to be getting blurrier and blurrier when I try to read them. A friend of mine had lasik surgery and had one eye done for close vision and one eye for far vision. I had no idea that was even possible. I think it's something I need to start thinking about more seriously.

Have you had Lasik Surgery? Leave me a comment and tell me your story!
